Flights and transfers
To optimize your time in Istanbul we recommend at least a 2 night stay, so when booking your flight it is good to know that:
Transfers that are included are only made from Atatürk International Airport (IST airport code), is the main Turkish airport, and the fifth of Europe by number of passengers, and is in the European part of the city a few kilometers from hospital.
The second airport in Istanbul is the Sabiha Gökçen Sabiha International Airport (airport code SAW) where low-cost airlines fly like Pegasus Airlines. This airport is 35 km away but from the same, we do make transfers for an extra cost of 90 €.
Recommended commercial airlines are Turkish Airlines or Pegasus Airlines. In general direct flights are suggested for convenience and price. To find the best flight offers here you have the best links hear.
For your visa please check it here. Of course depends on nationality although Turkey is an open country hear.
We do not work on weekends, so avoid getting there on Friday and returning the following Monday. During the weekend, airport pick-up and lodging services are still available at our partner hotels, but we do not operate or make any visits.
The days in which we operate are from Monday to Friday and on Saturday we can have some post-operative visits.
Here is a travel example:
- Day in the afternoon – arrival in Istanbul
- Down at night – first night at the hotel
- Monthly mornings – the first visit and pre-operative tests
- Monday mornings – intervention
- Monday afternoon – end of surgery and return to hotel
- Monday night – second night at the hotel
- Martes in the morning – post-operative control
